The Ledge Holiday house was perfectly located - away from the road at the foot of an impressive rock face. It is a comfortable house with an impressive breakfast bench for group meals, central heating and fire-place, and a large deck with a good aspect. Provided pillows were average, but the house has possibly the best shower in the Grampians!
Hall's Gap Local grocery store is expensive so maybe bring basics, any alcohol and cuts of meat. Plenty to occupy a weekend though - Silverband Falls is an understated marvel of nature. Go to the Balconies for a true sense of the scale of the Grampians park. Go beyond the fences of Gulgurn Manja rock art and feel its residual magic. Make sure to unwind at the brilliant Adventure Golf course, and check out the excellent bakery at Hall's Gap stores.
Best advice for Mackenzie Falls - take the strenuous route down for the best vantage, and beware the birds at the picnic tables!
