This hotel was excellent value for the money

It was located right at the edge of the town. Unfortunately it's directly across the street from the railroad tracks, but only one train went thru during the night and we only briefly were awakened. The decoration and the brighter color of the room was nice, the previous 2 nights we stayed in rather blah hotels and it was a nice change to have a brightly colored wall, and some nice throw pillows and a couch.

I was very happy with the free continental brekkie that is included in the tariff. The owner who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. If we are ever going thru that area again, we would definitely stay there again.

THere is a Pioneer Settlement Museum that we were not able to visit as we arrived after closing. It might be a bit spend, . 50, but it looked liked it would be a great place to visit. I always have to stop and take a photo in front of the "Big" things of Australia so of course I took a photo in front of the Murray Cod! We had dinner one pub that I absolutely do NOT recommend. I cannot remember the name of it, but if you arrive in town coming from the Kerang direction, head into town and drive past the Murray Cod.

Just after that there is a right turn to C246 over the old bridge and over the river. Directly after you pass over the river is the pub and the food was very very bad. I had a very bad steak that didn't even taste like a steak, and my partner's parma was mediocre, and I thought it was difficult to mess up one of those!

Book Foundry Palms Motel, or Charlton Accommodation and Hotels.
